2nd Circular
 

 

The 10th International GSG Congress has oerganized the following field trips:

  • One pre-Gongress field trip
  • Four post-Congress field trips
  • Two tours of general interest
  • Participants interested in the field trips and tours should complete the Field Trip Booking Form B (attached to the 2nd Circular), indicating the preferred field trip/s.
  • Form B, as well as all payments regarding field trips and tours should be directed to Charioteer Travel Agency (see Form B for details).
  • Field Trip fees include transportation, accommodation in twin bedrooms with breakfast and the tour guide.
  • A minimum of 15 participants is required for the trips to operate.
  • In case of cancellation the full field-trip booking fee will be refunded.
  • Field trip registrations will be accepted after January 1, 2004.

T1. Byzantine Thessaloniki
Date: Friday 16 April 2004, Departure time: 7 pm.

Sites:

 Afternoon sightseeing tour in English, to view some of the impressive Byzantine monuments including the city walls and citadel, St. Dimitrios Church and crypt, Galerius Arch and Palace

T2. Land of the Alexander the Great
Ημέρες: Friday 16 or Saturday 17 April 2004, Departure time: 12 noon

Sites:

 The name of this tour conjures up vivid pictures of Macedonia’s past. Arrive at Vergina for lunch and visit to the famous Philip of Macedon’s tomb and its treasures. Return to Thessaloniki.
